1. The service
Vallkey stores your API keys encrypted and gives you ghost keys to use in their place. Requests made with a ghost key pass through Vallkey, which checks your rules and forwards allowed requests to the provider with the real key.
2. Your account
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and give a real email address.
- Keep your passkeys and management token safe. Anyone holding them can manage your account.
- You are responsible for what your team members do in your account.
3. Your keys and your providers
- Only store keys you are allowed to use. Your use of each provider stays subject to that provider's terms.
- Rules reduce risk but cannot remove it. Set limits at the provider too (for example restricted keys or IAM policies) and review your activity.
- Token and spending limits rely on what providers report, so the request that crosses a limit can go a little over it.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Vallkey to break the law, attack or overload other systems, get around a provider's limits or terms, or interfere with Vallkey itself.
5. Availability
We work to keep Vallkey running, but we do not promise it will always be available. If Vallkey cannot be reached, requests made with ghost keys fail rather than go through unchecked. Keep a plan for that, as described in the docs.
6. Plans and payment
Vallkey has a Free plan and paid plans, described on the pricing page. Each plan has limits, such as the number of ghost keys and requests a month. Paid accounts are never cut off for going over their requests; a Free account is paused for the rest of the month once it reaches twice its limit.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own buyer terms apply to your purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel them in Billing. Cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds follow our refund policy: any payment can be refunded in full within 14 days. We will tell you at least 30 days before we raise the price of a plan you are on.
7. Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk, and will tell you why when we can.
8. Liability
Vallkey is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for charges made by providers, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
